Well done Jake, I particularly enjoyed reading your chunking work and replacing words. Do you think you could answer the questions and re-write some of the story? Thanks for all your hard work Jake!
Hi Jake, I enjoyed reading the story of Kahu and Hokioi, and I think you summarised it really well. What a good thing that Kahu was able to keep his chicks safe and fed, and I bet they loved listening to Kahu's adventures when he arrived home safely.
You have written a great summary Jake! Well done with your chinking of words too. I enjoyed looking at the photos of birds on your front page and reading their weights. Fantails don't weigh much do they! No wonder they can flit around so easily. Ka pai to mahi.
Please structure your comments as follows: Positive - Something done well. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say. Helpful - Give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about.
